Education program officer


​At Mount Ommaney Special School we have an Education Program Officer (EPO) who supports both school programs and the wider school community. The roles and responsibilities of our EPO are varied and include:

  • Establishing and strengthening partnerships with families and community groups to enhance the ability of the school and families to support student learning and development outcomes.
  • Implementing and maintaining effective communication strategies between the school, families and the wider community.
  • Assisting in designing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating appropriate educational programs as required to support individual learning plans.
  • Researching and maintaining a register of external funding sources available to support educational programs and writing submissions or applications as appropriate.
  • Acting as co-ordinator for school volunteers, community service students and work experience students as required.
